Surprise, surprise!

Our visits with Olga get better and better. She greeted us both with great big hugs this morning. She even had one left for Andrei. She loves to be held, hugged and kissed. That just shows you that these children are not only taken care of physical but emotionally as well. All the time we were going through the adoption process our prayer was that God would bring someone along side her to provide her with nurturing love and kindness. And not just for Olga but the other children as well. We have witnessed God's faithfulness first hand. He continues to show us His loving kindness through the people He has brought into our lives. We have met some good people here in Krivoy Rog. Olga, played on the merry-go-round today. Round and round she goes. I tried riding with her but it just makes me dizzy. One time she got off the merry-go-round and stood there. You can tell she was dizzy. She kept looking at the ground and murmuring something. It was as though she was frustrated because the ground didn't stay still for her. She got back on....she's brave!

Marina, came to the institution this morning to go over what will happen in court and the steps that follow. She said the Judge was a very nice lady. She is not only a judge but a counselor for drug and alcohol addiction. She said she has never worked with a judge who had dual occupations. They have been wonderful and are genuinely concerned about our well being during our stay here in Krivoy Rog.

After our visit, Andrei took us back to the cathedral so we could take pictures. Its so beautiful inside. While we were at the cathedral I got a call from Marina. Yes, I forgot to mute the phone! Our court date has been rescheduled for Thursday at noon. She said that there is no problem its just that our whole situation is different. The prosecutor wanted to attend the court hearing too and he will be in town on Thursday. Usually the prosecutor sends someone in their place. As Marina put it these people do not understand why you would want to adopt a child from a Invalid Home. This is the first adoption out of this institution, this is new for all of them. Marina, said that we were pioneers opening up doors and paving the way for future parents. I told her that we are blessed by this. We believe that God is planning something big. To God be the glory!!!!
